Theodore Boone: The Abduction, written by author John Grisham, is the second novel in the Theodore Boone series of four novels. The series written targeting prepubescent audience, first published its second installment, The Abduction, in the year 2011.

Theodore Boone, the protagonist of the novel, gets agitated when he finds that his best friend —April Finnemore — has disappeared into the night. Nobody has any clue whatsoeveras to April's whereabouts. Even Theodore, who is very close and knows everything about April, is left clueless as to what happened to his friend. The news spreads like an epidemic in his small town, leaving people in fear and the police end up in vain in their searches. Police also suspects Jack Leeper, who is the distant cousin of the Finnemore family and an escaped prison inmate.

As Theodore finds that the case is heading nowhere in police investigations, he decides to take matters into his own hands and finds a solution to recover his abducted friend.

Filled with suspense and fast-paced story movement, the book engages readers with a nail-biting curiosity as they get into the story.
