Author Name: Partab Ramchand

A professional sports journalist for thirty-five years, Partab Ramchand started his career with the Indian Express in Madras in 1968 where he served till 1982. From 1982 to 1994 he was the Madras correspondent for Sportsworld magazine. Rejoining the Indian Express in 1994, Partab headed the sports department in the Chennai edition till February 1999. He subsequently was editor in chief of Clickcricket.com, and seniro editor for CricInfo, the world's leading cricket website. For the past three years, Partab has been freelancing, covering several important events in India, and the World Cup and Singer Cup in Sri Lanka in 1996. He has compered sports programmes on Doordarshn and has regularly conducted the sports quiz for All Indi Radio.
