Author Name: Anees Jung

ANEES JUNG was editor of Youth Times (a publication of the Times of India) from 1973 to 1980 and has been a freelance writer and columnist since then, writing for many international publications, including the New York Times, Christian Science Monitor, Vogue and the International Herald Tribune. She was also adviser to the Director-General of UNESCO in Paris from l994 to 1999. The International Labor Organisation in Geneva commissioned her to write Lost Spring: Stories of Childhood Robbed and Regained and she recently completed a sequel to her book Unveiling India that focussed on the daughters of mothers she interviewed 15 years ago, titled Beyond the Courtyard.
